wedding I loved working with Kristen & Britton on their wedding at Lanikuhonua on June 5. Her colors were so beautiful & easy to work with. I designed a beautiful wood arbor draped with fuchsia fabric & loaded with a full floral topper which we later reused on their sweetheart table. On the back & sides of the arbor, I draped long strands of crystals & hanging white orchids. We tied beautiful fuchsia wired ribbon on each ceremony chair cushion. After the ceremony, the guests were greeted with cocktails from the Catering Connection. Laura Lewis from Parasol Events coordinated the event wonderfully & the talented photography team from Visionari captured the event & magical evening. I designed a lounge area with our sofas, benches, tables, silk pillows, pretty linens & dramatic crystal chandeliers hanging over the event area. The florals on each table were stunning with loads of crystals dripping onto the table. I love the idea Kristen had for their reception sign in table. Each guest wrote a personal note on the back of a colorful Vintage Hawaiian postcard!

I am in love with Mercury glass! It has such a beautiful old vintage look. I am using lots of mercury glass tea lights & small 4 inch vases in my designs lately. Just purchased blue mercury votives & they are gorgeous!

Last week I created this intimate beachside dining canopy at the beautiful Bayer Estate. One of my fav photographers, Dave Miyamoto, photographed for me. I designed the intimate dining canopy around a beautiful white washed distressed wooden table, a rustic manzanita branch with Juliet peach roses, sea shells, mother of pearl charger plates, dupioni silk napkins, hanging capiz shell curtain & chandelier, sea foamy blue & sand draping fabrics, & lots of throw pillows. It had sort of a shabby chic beachy feel which I love!!

I got bombarded with 4 weddings beginning Dec. 28 & ending January 4, 2010. This raspberry & eggplant wedding was one of our most colorful & fun weddings over the weekend. Erinn & David flew in from the snowy east coast to have their wedding reception at the beautiful sea side retreat The Bayer Estate. We created a fun lounge area on the beach front with sofas & benches, pillows, vases of floating candles, and tiki torches on the beach. Erinn loved chandeliers so we had several hanging from the beach side trees. Our raspberry uplighting set such a pretty ambiance as the evening settled in. These are photos from my camera but waiting for the photographer Suzanne’s photos soon. Stay tune for more color!!

rentals Lanikuhonua is a great design palette for our contemporary lounge furniture & acrylic tables. At night, it was such a beautiful set with the candles & created a little hide-away nook on the beach away from all the dancing & excitement of the evening.

I wanted to update a few photos from Robert & Chun Hee’s wedding that we created at the beautiful Moana Surfrider Hotel. The fab Stefanie Riedel from Absolutely Loved Photography sent me these great colorful shots! We loved working with all the stunning vibrant beautiful colors. Black magic roses & green cymbidium orchids were a great combo. Our claret red linens, chocolate brown wooden box’s, & the paper lanterns are all available as Rental Decor. Stacey from Bradley & Lily Fine Stationery created lovely Table & Place Cards to complete the tablescapes.

I have designed several weddings this summer at the beautiful ocean front Bayer Estate. The front awning of the house was spilling over with lush green & white dendrobium orchids, fuchsia pink roses, sweet akito pink roses, long strand of orchid leis & crystals. It made a grand entrance to the property & our bride decided to have her ceremony at the front entrance & reception on the oceanfront lawn.

This weekend at the Bayer Estate we had a perfect day for the beautiful wedding of Lorianne & James. The colors popped with bright orange & white overhead lanterns that we designed over long double wide tables of white crinkle linens with orange satin runners. The florals were hurricane candle cylinders surrounded with green cymbidum orchids, orange pin proteas, lilies, roses & green dendrobium orchids. Each napkin was adorned with a green spider mum & sea shells were scatter atop the table. I also created an initimate lounge area on the beach front with lounge benches, ottomans, nesting tables, & tiki torches. The historic Bayer Estate was the perfect setting for a beautiful sea side wedding for the couple. To pull the event together, catering by the fabulous Kahala Caterers & the multi talented photographer Chrissy Lambert. Thanks to Sooz at the Bayer Estate, Merri at Kahala Caterers, & Chrissy!!
