A classic red ,white & pink Valentines Day Wedding at the Halekulani Hotel: I designed Julie’s ceremony canopy with lots white hydrangeas, orchids & blush pink anthuriums. The canopy was draped with red voille fabric & hanging crystals. Guest dining tables were adorned with our claret red matte satin linens & tall glass vases were filled with lots of white dendrobium & cymbidium orchids. Julie’s bridal bouquet was a classic bouquet of all pink peonies. Special thanks to photographer Christie Pham. Christie’s work is so fresh & what a nice lady to work with.

I have designed several weddings this summer at the beautiful ocean front Bayer Estate. The front awning of the house was spilling over with lush green & white dendrobium orchids, fuchsia pink roses, sweet akito pink roses, long strand of orchid leis & crystals. It made a grand entrance to the property & our bride decided to have her ceremony at the front entrance & reception on the oceanfront lawn.

We had a great wedding today for Robert & Chun Hee at the beautiful Moana Surfrider Hotel in Waikiki. The colors were stunning : a sea of claret red satin table linens, hanging burgundy lanterns, chocolate brown wooden chargers & napkins. The florals of red roses, james storey orchids, & green cymbidium orchids were elevated on top of a custom made wooden box. We also custom designed a brown wooden arbor draped with red chiffon fabric & lots of roses & green cymbidium orchids for the couple’s ceremony. rentals I just love this intimate ceremony set up in the backyard of Kristina’s parents home in Aiea. The chuppah was covered with chiffon fabric & hanging strands of orchids & crystals. Guest sat under a matching canopy of drapey fabric with crystals & orchids hanging. It was a lovely setting!!

wedding I have found a cool new location for weddings & receptions. The Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor on Ford Island is so amazing!! I spoke with Nicole, the special events manager & she tells me we were the first booked wedding for the Museum Saturday night 6-27-09. It is quite impressive with authentic old planes on display inside the hanger. We transformed the hanger from ceremony to reception. Check out their web site. The cool thing is you do not have to be in the military to rent the place out. Call Nicole at 808-441-1004. Annie & Eric were a lovely couple & the jewish chuppah looked amazing against the back drop of a B-25 Mitchell Bomber.

floral We spent this past Sunday setting up a ceremony on the 18th hole at the beautiful Ko’olau Golf Course in Kaneohe. The scenery is so majestic that it can literally take your breath away. At one point, my assistant & I just sat & meditated, taking in the essence of the calm & tranquil setting. I created simple floral balls of green carnations, purple dendrobium orchids, & lavender spider mums. Simple yet they made such a bold statement on the lush green lawn. rentals I just built these really nice brown wooden box’s that we can design a dramatic area for your ceremony site instead of the usual hotel gazebo. They have a very modern & contemporary look. In the photo below, I used dogwood branches with orchids. Click on photo to enlarge & see details.

I loved our latest wedding at the Westin Moana. Prsni & Dean were so much fun to work with & their sunset colors were great! Capri Shells formed a shell curtain as a back drop to the ceremony on Waikiki beach. We provided cool hanging lanterns, linens, napkins, chocolate brown chivari chairs & bamboo centerpieces full of mokara / aranda orchids, yellow / orange roses, & yellow pin cushion proteas. Photographer Chrissy Lambert took lots of photos & I can’t wait to see a preview of her work. Please stay tune for more on this wedding.
